Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is located in the prestigious Marylebone area of London’s West End, overlooking the gardens of Portman Square and just moments from Oxford Street and Hyde Park. The hotel features 440 elegant guestrooms including 50 suites, along with 11 versatile meeting and event spaces hosting a wide range of corporate events and social occasions. Dining experiences include seasonal British dishes and Afternoon Tea at The Montagu Kitchen and cocktails at the stylish Churchill Bar & Terrace.

Duties and responsibilities related to the Assistant Front Office Manager role

  • Lead the day-to-day Front Office operation, ensuring consistent delivery of Hyatt brand standards and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Support and coach Front Desk colleagues through ongoing training, performance feedback, and development to build a high-performing team.
  • Oversee guest arrival and departure processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall satisfaction.
  • Partner with the Front Office Manager to achieve departmental goals, operational KPIs, and guest service objectives.
  • Optimize room allocation and inventory management to maximize occupancy, revenue opportunities, and guest preferences.
  • Act as the senior operational leader during assigned shifts, including serving as Duty Manager and resolving complex guest or operational issues.
  • Manage staffing schedules, labor productivity, and departmental resources to align with business demand while maintaining cost control.
  • Contribute to financial planning by monitoring departmental expenses, supporting forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with budget expectations.

About You

You are a passionate hospitality professional with proven Front Office experience and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead by example, and enjoy developing and coaching others to succeed. With strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, you are confident making decisions, adapting to change, and building positive relationships with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders. You have a strong understanding of Front Office operations, are commercially aware, and are motivated to achieve operational excellence while living Hyatt's values of care, inclusion, and continuous learning.
