Assistant Fund Accountant
Equifind are representing a West End based, European leading Real Estate firm who are looking to hire an Assistant Fund Accountant.
This EU focused company has specifically experienced significant growth in the funds part of the business in recent years. With both various entities and multiple investors, this revolutionary firm is now looking to add to their head-count in 2025 within their Fund Accounting team.
This is a great opportunity for somebody with a Fund Administration background and currently in pursuit of their AAT/ACCA/CIMA Qualification that would thrive in a broad position within a dynamic, fast-paced team.
The Role
The following responsibilities are assisting with or to have full ownership from the beginning with the idea for the role to take on all elements as the role progresses through their accounting exams:
- Bookkeeping for all transactions and activity across a range of funds, SPV's and structure companies.
- The preparation of management accounts & NAV's.
- The production of quarterly investor reports.
- Preparation of VAT data and VAT returns.
- Producing and distributing partnership capital accounts.
- Preparing key calculations such as management fees, carried interest and loan agreements.
- Producing financial statements - typically IFRS or UK GAAP compliant.
- Issuing draw-down and distribution notices.
- Cash flow statements, cash flow forecasts and cash monitoring.
- Responding to investor queries and reporting requirements.
- Compile, analyse and operate on the financial information underlying the fund, its transactions and the financial statements.
- Dealing with year-end audit engagements.

Application Criteria
To be considered for the role of permanent Assistant Fund Accountant role with a West End based, EU leading Real Estate firm, candidates should ideally be:
- Ideally a qualified AAT accounting professional or part-qualified accountant
- Have an ambition or real desire to pursue the CIMA or ACCA qualification
- Ideally currently working for a Fund Administrator or previously in their career
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment
- Confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
- Attention to detail is essential
- Strong communication skills
- Ideally intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Look Up, SumIf)
- Willing to be part of a team and engage with others

Compensation
The permanent Assistant Fund Accountant role with a West End based, EU leading Real Estate firm will be paid a competitive market based salary with full study support (CIMA, ACCA).
- Annual performance related bonus (discretionary)
- Hybrid working pattern. 4-days per week in the office. 1-day WFH, remotely
- 10% employer pension contribution
- 25-days annual leave
