Description

Assistant General Manager Rose Pubs Group is looking for an experienced, energetic and ambitious Assistant General Manager to support the leadership of one of our distinctive venues and help take the business to the next level. This is a hands-on role for a confident hospitality professional who enjoys working in a busy, characterful environment.

You’ll need a genuine passion for hospitality, an entrepreneurial approach and the ability to lead from the front. The venue has a strong identity and loyal following, combining great food and drink with a lively atmosphere and a programme of entertainment and events.

Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll help lead the operation, drive commercial performance and create an environment that keeps both guests and team members coming back. You’ll be encouraged to bring your own ideas, make your mark and play an important role in the future success of the business.

The Role

  • Lead, motivate and develop the team
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience
  • Drive sales and make the most of commercial opportunities
  • Manage labour, stock, purchasing and other operating costs
  • Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness and compliance
  • Plan and deliver events and promotional activity
  • Recruit, train and retain great people
  • Build strong relationships with guests, suppliers and the local community
  • Work closely with the General Manager and senior team to develop the business

About You

  • An experienced Assistant General Manager, Deputy Manager or senior hospitality professional
  • Commercially aware and confident managing budgets and costs
  • A natural leader who leads from the front
  • Energetic, positive and able to motivate a diverse team
  • Passionate about bar service, hospitality, food and drink
  • Entrepreneurial, with the ability to spot opportunities and drive sales
  • Organised, adaptable and calm under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends
  • Ambitious and motivated to develop your own potential and that of your team
  • Focused on delivering strong results and memorable guest experiences
