Role Description
The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Glasgow, responsible for supporting overall operational leadership across food, beverage, and events services at the venue. This role works closely with the General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, including service delivery, staffing, inventory control, and adherence to health and safety standards. The Assistant General Manager helps drive guest satisfaction through a guest-first approach, ensuring that service teams are motivated, well-trained, and aligned with Levy’s brand and service expectations. Responsibilities include supporting financial performance through budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth initiatives, as well as coordinating with culinary and sales teams to deliver high-quality, tailored event experiences. The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement, implementing company processes, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

- Experience in hospitality, catering, or venue management, with a track record of overseeing daily operations and large teams.
- Strong leadership, team development, and people management skills, including coaching, performance feedback, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Operational and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and understanding of KPIs in a hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, and experience implementing compliance standards on-site.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, prioritizing multiple demands while maintaining high service standards.
- Proficiency with basic business and scheduling software; experience with catering or venue management systems is beneficial.
- Prior experience in stadiums, arenas, or large-scale events, and an interest in sports and entertainment is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field are preferred but not mandatory.
