Assistant General (Village) Manager
We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader with a strong Food & Beverage background to join us as our Assistant General Manager. If you've successfully led restaurant, bar, hotel or premium hospitality operations, have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and know how to inspire high-performing teams, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
As Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional hospitality experience across the village, with a particular focus on leading our Food & Beverage operation. Working alongside the General Manager, you'll drive commercial performance, develop high-performing teams and ensure every resident and guest receives outstanding service.
You'll
- Lead and develop the Food & Beverage operation, creating an exceptional dining experience that residents are proud to recommend.
- Drive restaurant, bar and hospitality performance through outstanding customer service, quality, innovation and commercial awareness.
- Manage food, beverage and labour costs while maximising revenue and profitability.
- Lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams including Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Housekeeping and Night Porters.
- Coach managers and team members to deliver consistently high service standards.
- Build strong relationships with residents, responding proactively to feedback and continuously improving the customer experience.
- Support the General Manager with the day-to-day operation of the village.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Significant management experience within a quality hospitality environment such as hotels, restaurants, premium pubs, retirement living, private members' clubs or leisure.
- A strong Food & Beverage background with responsibility for restaurants, bars or hospitality operations.
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Experience managing budgets, labour costs, stock control and commercial performance.
- A passion for developing and motivating high-performing teams.
- Experience leading multiple departments within a hospitality operation.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance excellent service with financial performance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A hands-on leadership style, leading by example and visible within the operation.

Key Requirements
- Proven experience in mid-level management, ideally within hospitality or retirement communities
- Experience managing chargeable F&B services, including budget management, labour planning, and creating commercially viable offerings that provide choice, value, and meet resident needs
- Sound knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and best practices
- Experience overseeing additional hospitality services beyond F&B
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong overall computer skills
