Overview
An established name in PFI/PPP infrastructure management, is looking for an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing a portfolio of LIFTCo companies and their subsidiaries, managing 18 healthcare buildings across London under Management Services Agreements.
You will take direct line management responsibility for an Asset Manager and two Operations Managers, help the GM produce Quarterly Board Reports covering Health & Safety, Hard FM, financial and statutory compliance performance, and manage claims and disputes in line with the Project Agreements. You'll work closely with the organisation's FM delivery partner, acting as the interface between internal teams and external stakeholders including tenants.
What We're Looking For
- PFI project experience, with particular emphasis on the contractual side
- This can come from an SPV/asset management background, or from an FM provider that has worked on LIFTCo/SPV contracts
- Strong understanding of contractual rights, obligations and compliance requirements
- Experience managing stakeholders at operational and Board-reporting level
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance and deliver service improvements
- Monitor and report on contractual compliance across MSAs, Project Agreements and Lending Agreements
- Help prepare the Quarterly Board Report (H&S, Hard FM, financial, statutory compliance, defects, stakeholder engagement, ESG)
- Produce Board Approval papers and support Business Plan preparation
- Manage the Tenant Variation Request process and tenant under-leases
- Work with the FM provider and Technical Manager to manage the lifecycle programme within budget
- Manage defect resolution, including condition surveys ahead of the 12-year defect liability period
- Line manage the Asset Manager and Operations Managers, including 121s, PDPs and performance management
