The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading the daily operations of the restaurant. You’ll play a key role in driving service excellence, developing the team, and ensuring operational standards are consistently met.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys leading by example, and is passionate about creating memorable dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant.
- Lead service on the floor, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during every shift.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and manage the restaurant in the General Manager’s absence.

Guest Experience
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create memorable guest experiences.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly.
- Build relationships with regular guests and encourage repeat business.
- Ensure service standards reflect the ADOH brand at all times.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and inspire the front-of-house team.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Coach employees through regular feedback and performance development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Support scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Financial Performance
- Assist in achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Monitor labour costs and support efficient scheduling.
- Help manage stock control, ordering, and inventory.
- Minimise waste and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Support the implementation of cost control measures while maintaining quality.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a management role within a busy restaurant or casual dining environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Calm, organised, and confident under pressure.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, and licensing regulations.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing labour and cost controls.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
