Assistant General Manager - Aviva Stadium, Dublin, DO4 | Full-Time / Permanent

This role is about leading and developing the food and beverage operation at Aviva Stadium, ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest while meeting the client’s high standards and ambitions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing and retaining a well-trained team, maintaining consistent standards, and continuously improving and innovating the food and drink offering to ensure it remains exciting, high-quality and aligned with the prestige of Aviva Stadium.

Assistant General Manager - The Role
- Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the Venue Director, client and key stakeholders to set strategy, develop plans and deliver business objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day catering operations, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, service and hospitality.
- Client Relationships: Build strong client partnerships, understand their needs and ensure successful delivery of events, functions and catering services.
- People Leadership: Lead, develop and retain the permanent and casual workforce, creating a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture.
- Recruitment & Training: Ensure effective recruitment, deployment, training, performance management and succession planning across the venue.
- Financial Management: Take accountability for venue profitability, budgets, forecasting, P&L performance and effective cost control without compromising quality.
- Business Growth: Identify new commercial opportunities, support sales and marketing activity, and develop relationships that generate repeat and new business.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Monitor market trends, competitor activity and performance data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, innovation and the guest experience.
- Quality & Standards: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, hygiene and service, ensuring the Levy signature culture is consistently delivered.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Lead a strong H&S culture across the venue, ensuring compliance with all relevant Compass and Levy policies, legislation, food safety requirements and training.

What We're Looking For
- Senior F&B Leadership: Minimum 5 years’ senior-level food and beverage management experience, with the confidence to lead large operational teams.
- Inspirational Leadership: A confident, energetic and charismatic leader who motivates teams and consistently drives results.
- People Development: Passionate about people, with a strong focus on building, developing and engaging high-performing teams.
- Food & Hospitality Passion: Genuine passion for food and hospitality, with a natural flair for creating excellent guest experiences.
- Project & Change Management: Experienced in leading projects, implementing change and adapting to evolving business requirements.
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Proven P&L accountability with strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver financial results.
- Stakeholder Management: Confident engaging and influencing clients, senior stakeholders, peers and functional specialists at all levels.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence others and work effectively within brand guidelines.
- Adaptability & Problem Solving: Structured and organised while remaining flexible, agile and able to calmly solve unexpected challenges.
- Resilience & Flexibility: A resilient team player who can adapt their leadership style to different situations and is willing to work evenings and weekends when required.
