ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER – CONTEMPORARY HIGH-VOLUME DINING

London

Up to £53,000 + Bonus

We’re working with one of London’s most established and respected hospitality businesses to find a brilliant Assistant General Manager for one of their NEW OPENING high-volume venues.

This is a business known for great food, slick service and seriously busy restaurants, with a strong reputation for developing its people and giving them genuine opportunities to progress.

The role

Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll be a key part of leading a large FOH team and delivering a consistently brilliant guest experience.

  • You’ll be right at the heart of the operation – leading busy services, driving standards, developing the team and making sure the restaurant has the energy and atmosphere the brand is known for.
  • There’s a big people piece here. You’ll coach and develop managers, build confidence within the wider team and create an environment where people enjoy coming to work and want to progress.
  • You’ll also have strong exposure to the commercial side of the restaurant, including labour, sales, budgets and P&L, giving you the experience and development to take the next step towards a General Manager role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
