We're looking for a driven and enthusiastic Assistant General Manager to join this independent neighbourhood pub and dining room in South West London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who loves great food, quality drinks and genuinely warm service. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll help lead the team, oversee day-to-day operations and ensure every guest leaves wanting to return.

Our ideal candidate will be a confident and positive leader who enjoys being present on the floor. You'll know how to motivate a team, maintain high standards and create a welcoming atmosphere, even during the busiest services.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the General Manager with the smooth running of the business
  • Leading shifts and delivering consistently excellent guest experiences
  • Recruiting, training, developing and motivating the front-of-house team
  • Maintaining high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and compliance
  • Managing bookings, private events and special occasions
  • Supporting stock control, ordering, rotas and wage management
  • Helping to grow sales and improve commercial performance
  • Building lasting relationships with guests and the local community
  • Taking responsibility for the venue in the General Manager's absence

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
