Assistant General Manager in Acton, West London - Leisure Operator
£36k (experience dependent) + bonus
Location: Acton, West London
Our client is a leading leisure operator with ambitious expansion plans over the next few years, and they're looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to take charge of service and operations at their flagship Acton site. Customer experience sits at the heart of everything they do, and their management teams live and breathe it every single day.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role at a site where no two days look the same. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the venue, leading a team through service, sales and operations while keeping both staff and guests safe. Working pattern: Five days per week on a rota basis, including weekends and some evenings, in line with the demands of a seven-day leisure operation.
Key responsibilities:
- Operations: Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring smooth, efficient operations across every area of the business.
- Leadership: Lead, coach and motivate a team, driving performance across service, sales and operations.
- Health and safety: Champion a safe environment for staff and guests, embedding strong health and safety practice throughout the venue.
About you:
- Experience: You're an Assistant Manager or Operations Manager working in a multi-faceted, fast-moving, customer-facing business, whether that's a health club, family entertainment centre, trampoline park, bowling venue or similar leisure operation.
- Leadership style: You're a natural leader with a hands-on, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Customer focus: You're driven by delivering an amazing experience for every guest and have a genuine passion for customer service and health and safety.
