Assistant General Manager
As Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the exceptional hospitality Balfour Winery is known for, supporting daily operations across tours, dining, events, and guest services. This position blends hands-on leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring every visitor experiences the award-winning quality and warmth that define England’s “best vineyard to visit.”
We're looking for our assistant managers to:
- Have some previous experience in supervising teams
- Lead by example
- Be passionate about food & drink
- Drive standards and knowledge to create exceptional guest experiences
- Create sales opportunities whenever they can

In this role we need someone with:
- Previous experience at supervisory level in a premium hospitality business
- Excellent food & drink knowledge
- Good understanding of the importance of financial targets and how we can achieve them
- Competence and organisation in handling bedroom and function enquiries and bookings
- Own transport to get to and from work
