What You'll Be Doing
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to support the day to day operations of two Berkeley Living properties in Hendon & Wembley. Working closely with the General Manager and centralised leasing team, you will ensure consistent operational delivery, a first-class experience and strong performance across both communities.
Operations
- Support the General Manager in implementing operational plans and maintaining smooth, efficient day-to-day delivery across both schemes.
- Provide visible leadership to the on-site teams, supporting performance, wellbeing, development and a positive working environment.
- Assist with recruitment, induction, training and development in line with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate closely with centralised support teams to deliver consistent customer service and resident engagement initiatives.
- Help establish and maintain productive local relationships and partnerships.
- Support sustainability initiatives aligned with Berkeley’s Vision 2030 Strategy, including effective void utility management.
- Assist with routine apartment visits, lease compliance follow-up and the identification of maintenance concerns.
- Monitor unit turns against required service levels and escalate risks or delays.
- Maintain close liaison with estate management teams on the operation of the wider developments.
- Work flexibly across both schemes to maintain consistent standards and operational cover.

Finance
- Support the General Manager with monitoring the operating budgets and scheme performance.
- Contribute to regular performance reviews with maintenance, marketing and leasing teams, identifying actions and improvements.
- Monitor rent collection and support the arrears process, escalating concerns in line with agreed procedures.
- Maintain accurate operational records and provide clear updates on risks, actions and service performance.
Health and Safety
- Work with the General Manager and H&S and Compliance Manager to support compliance with current statutory requirements.
- Oversee the daily coordination of reactive maintenance and ensure jobs are directed to the appropriate team.
- Follow health and safety policies and procedures and help ensure contractors comply with relevant safe systems of work.
- Carry out regular building inspections, recording and escalating health, safety or security concerns.
- Support local licensing and documentation requirements, ensuring records remain complete and up to date.
Leasing and Marketing
- Collaborate with centralised leasing and marketing teams to maintain seamless communication and strong scheme performance.
- Support and coach the on-site team to conduct viewings in the Berkeley Living way.
- Ensure incoming enquiries are monitored and responded to in line with agreed service levels.
- Proactively identify lease breaches, support remediation and escalate where appropriate.
- Assist with move-ins, renewals and unit availability to help deliver a smooth resident journey.

Customer Service
- Represent the Berkeley Living brand by delivering outstanding service to residents, contractors and visitors.
- Maintain clear, effective communication with residents through appropriate channels.
- Support resident meetings, important updates and the collection of resident feedback.
- Help deliver the Resident Engagement Strategy, including building and fire safety information.
- Coordinate resident events designed to build engagement and support retention.
- Seek opportunities to exceed service expectations and encourage constructive customer feedback.
- Handle and resolve resident concerns promptly, escalating complex complaints to the General Manager where required.
Hours
Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm.
Hybrid role split 50/50 between the 2 sites - travel to sites would need to be via public transport or your own car.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in supporting operational management, ideally within Build to Rent/Living sector.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Excellent financial acumen and budget management experience.
- A collaborative mindset with exceptional communication skills.
- A commitment to sustainability, safety, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
