PJS Consulting Engineers are a multi-disciplined consultancy providing civil, structural, and geotechnical design solutions for the UK construction market.
After a successful period of growth and in accordance with our ambitious future expansion plans, we are looking to strengthen our team with the appointment of an Assistant Geo-Environmental Engineer.

Requirements and Responsibilities
Technical
- Hold a relevant qualification in civil engineering, engineering geology, geotechnical engineering or a related discipline.
- Organise and undertake ground investigations, including supervising drilling rigs and trial pits.
- Carry out sampling, monitoring, collation and analysis of geo-environmental data.
- Assist with factual and interpretive reports, technical notes, drawings and calculations.
- Support foundation, earthworks and geotechnical design solutions.
- Undertake site inspections, including substructure construction inspections.
- Follow the internal Integrated Management System.

Commercial
- Support efficient project delivery by managing time, scope and deadlines effectively.
- Maintain awareness of budgets, variations and the commercial impact of technical decisions.
- Assist with quotations and project budgeting where required.
Client
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, contractors and project teams.
- Attend site and project meetings where required.
- Provide practical, responsive advice to support successful project outcomes.
- Develop client-facing confidence when communicating with third parties.
- Maintain a proactive, accountable and professional approach to client correspondence.
People
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the geotechnical, civil and structural teams.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by sharing knowledge and supporting others where appropriate.
- Engage with ongoing training and professional development.
- Demonstrate professionalism, drive and accountability.
