Quorn Foods is Recruiting for an Assistant Group Accountant

Quorn Foods are delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Group Accountant to join our Finance team.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Forming an integral part of our Group Finance team, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across the business. Working closely with the Group Financial Accountant, you'll contribute to the monthly reporting cycle, support statutory reporting activities and assist with the annual audit process, helping to ensure high standards of financial governance and control are maintained throughout the Group.

  • You'll take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations across designated accounts, investigate and resolve reconciling items, and support a variety of inventory and capital expenditure accounting activities.
  • Alongside this, you'll contribute to reporting and analysis outputs, maintain fixed asset records and support the ongoing development of efficient finance processes and controls.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in Group Finance, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting disciplines while developing your technical knowledge and commercial understanding. You'll work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, learning from experienced professionals whilst progressing towards your longer-term career goals.

The position will be based from our Leeds or Stokesley office circa 2-3 days per week along with the opportunity to work flexibly/remotely when required.

What Experience You'll Need To Have

  • Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting or another numerate business-related discipline
  • Possess a sound academic understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting fundamentals
  • Present excellent numerical and analytical capabilities alongside a keen eye for detail
  • Demonstrate a positive approach to learning and a desire to develop a long-term career within Finance
  • Bring knowledge gained through a finance placement, internship or similar commercial environment, which would be advantageous
  • Display an interest in working towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Be comfortable working with financial systems, ERP platforms such as SAP or reporting tools, although this is not essential
  • Present a passion for healthy, sustainable products which are better for our consumers and the planet – you don't have to be a vegetarian to work for Quorn!

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
