We’re recruiting: Assistant Head of College (Assistant Principal)
Are you an experienced secondary leader looking for your next opportunity to make a real difference?
Leigh Academy Hugh Christie is looking for an ambitious, committed and inspirational leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Head of College (Assistant Principal). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of the academy, working alongside a supportive and committed team to raise standards, develop our culture and ensure every student is supported to achieve their potential.
Working closely with the Vice Principal, you’ll have responsibility for key subject areas as well as a whole-school leadership area, giving you the opportunity to build on your existing experience and strengths.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Is an experienced and successful secondary school leader
- Has high expectations of both students and staff
- Can communicate a clear vision and bring people with them
- Is passionate about improving outcomes for young people
- Builds strong relationships with staff, students, families and the wider community
- Is collaborative, approachable and keen to work across the Trust
- Is a subject specialist in Mathematics or English
You’ll be joining a successful and established multi-academy trust, with the freedom to lead alongside the support of a collaborative MAT network.
