ASSISTANT HEAD OF CURRICULUM: ENGLISH, MATHS & ESOL (FIXED TERM)

Boston College | Fixed term until 7 December 2026 to cover staff absence | 37 hours per week

Salary: £37,853 per annum

Boston College is seeking an Assistant Head of Curriculum to take on a vital dual role, combining high-quality teaching with operational leadership. Working in close partnership with the Head of Curriculum, you will support the day-to-day leadership of designated subject provisions, helping students achieve their best.

Alongside a substantive teaching, training, or assessment commitment (432 contact hours per annum), you will lead on key operational themes including student engagement, progress tracking, and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) modelling educational excellence and helping to build a high-performing, inclusive, and safe environment for every learner.

Candidates will hold a recognised teaching qualification (Level 4/5+), have a strong record of good/outstanding teaching in FE or HE, experience with student engagement or IQA, and possess the drive to lead under pressure.
