Are you an ambitious Business or IT lecturer ready to take the next step into curriculum leadership?

Stamford College is seeking an inspiring and driven Assistant Head of Faculty – Business & IT to support the leadership and development of our curriculum areas, helping to shape outstanding learning experiences and positive outcomes for students.

This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced Business lecturer or an experienced IT lecturer with a recognised teaching qualification who is passionate about education, committed to high standards, and ready to progress into a leadership role within Further Education. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate experience of leadership, team coordination, curriculum planning, or management responsibilities within an educational or professional setting.

Whether your background is in Business or IT, we are looking for someone who can inspire both students and staff, contribute to curriculum development, and support the continued growth and success of the department.

The Role

Working closely with the Head of Faculty – Creative Arts, IT & Business, you will support the strategic and operational leadership of the Business and IT curriculum areas, ensuring students remain at the heart of everything we do.

You will play a key role in driving quality improvement, supporting teaching staff, developing curriculum provision, and ensuring programmes meet local and regional skills needs. Alongside leadership responsibilities, you will continue to teach within your specialist subject area and lead by example through high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
