The Role
We are looking for an ambitious Assistant Head of Rowing to be part of the next chapter of our Boat Club's journey. As we celebrate our first 10 years, this is a unique opportunity to help build on strong foundations, support the programme's full potential, and help to shape an exciting vision for the decade ahead. If you are passionate about developing young athletes, driving innovation, and making a lasting impact in an ambitious all-girls school, we would love to hear from you.
As Assistant Head of Rowing, you will assist in developing the school's rowing programme, inspiring pupils of all abilities to achieve their personal and competitive potential. You will deliver high-quality coaching across a range of age groups, creating a safe, inclusive and aspirational environment in which every rower can thrive. Alongside your coaching responsibilities, you will help to oversee the planning and delivery of training programmes and camps, while ensuring the effective management, maintenance and development of the school's rowing fleet and equipment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
