Job Description

Position: Assistant Headteacher

Salary: Leadership 2-Leadership 6 (£62,857 - £68,361)

Hours of work: Full Time (32.5 Hours per week) considered – Term Time Only

Contract Term: Permanent

Closing Date: Monday 19 October 2026, 12 noon/Monday 19 October 2026, 1 pm

Interviews: Thursday 22nd October 2026

Start date: January 2026

Pembury House Nursery School and Children’s Centre is seeking an Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. Working with the Head of School, you will set the vision for the future of the school and children’s centre, ensuring we have the right people and plans in place to meet the needs of the children and families in our local community.

Pembury is a member of Haringey Early Years Schools Alliance which is a federation of three maintained nursery schools led by an Executive Headteacher and one governing Body. Recently inspected, Pembury House achieved an exceptional grade from Ofsted.
