Landywood Primary School is looking for an exceptional Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion Leader to join our senior leadership team and lead our inclusive provision across the school.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate practitioner to have a significant whole-school impact, shaping provision for children with SEND and other barriers to learning while helping us continue to raise aspirations and outcomes for every child.
At Landywood, inclusion is at the heart of what we do.
Our recent Ofsted inspection described us as a “deeply inclusive school with high aspirations for every pupil”, recognising that staff quickly identify barriers to learning and wellbeing and take highly effective action to meet pupils’ needs.
Importantly, our Inclusion Leader/SENCo will not be expected to do it all alone. You will be supported by a dedicated Assistant SENCo Teaching Assistant, providing valuable administrative and operational support with the coordination of provision, reviews, documentation, record keeping and the day-to-day organisation of SEND. This additional capacity is designed to protect your time for what matters most: strategically leading outstanding inclusive practice, supporting colleagues and making a tangible difference to children.

You will also become part of a school with a strong network of support around its children and families, including Teaching Assistants supporting every class, academic and wellbeing teams, ELSA provision, a Home-School Link Worker and access to a range of targeted programmes.
We are looking for someone who combines excellent knowledge of primary education with a genuine commitment to inclusion; someone who can inspire children and adults, lead strategically, build excellent relationships with families and colleagues, and maintain high expectations for achievement, behaviour and provision.
