Assistant Headteacher - SEND Provision

Birmingham | £45-50k

Curriculum Focus

Purpose of the role

To lead and develop curriculum, teaching quality and pupil achievement across the school, ensuring all pupils, including those with diverse needs, receive a high-quality, broad, balanced and coherent education.

As Assistant Headteacher, you will champion evidence-based teaching practice and professional development, creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that supports pupils' social, emotional and behavioural needs, underpinned by a trauma-informed, therapeutic ethos. You will model the organisation's values and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct at all times.

  • Utilise assessment data to identify gaps in learning and lead interventions to improve outcomes

  • QTS
  • Proven experience leading curriculum development
  • Understanding of curriculum design and assessment
  • Experience using data to inform teaching strategies
