Assistant Headteacher – Teaching & Learning
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: L11–L15
Workplace: Church Stretton
Start Date: January 2027 or sooner
We would welcome applications from leaders ready for their first Assistant Headteacher post, as well as those with senior leadership experience. You may currently lead a subject, faculty or whole-school area.
What matters most is that you are an excellent teacher who has led improvement beyond your own classroom and can show the difference it made. You will enjoy working alongside colleagues, turning ideas into practical changes and following through to see whether they improve pupils’ learning.
We are looking for someone who:
- has a strong understanding of effective teaching, curriculum and assessment;
- can support and challenge colleagues with clarity, warmth and professional credibility;
- knows how to develop others and build a culture of professional learning;
- can use evidence of pupils’ learning to identify priorities and evaluate impact; and
- shares our ambition for every pupil to achieve well and feel that they belong.
