Assistant Housekeeper / Cook
Millcroft Mental Health Rehabilitation Service | Seacroft, Leeds
£13.45 per hour
Overtime paid at £14.95 per hour
28.5 hours per week - 9 month Maternity Cover Position

Are you an experienced Cook, Housekeeper, Kitchen Assistant, or Hospitality Professional looking for a rewarding role where your work genuinely improves lives?
At Millcroft, our specialist Mental Health Rehabilitation Service in Seacroft, Leeds, we're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Housekeeper / Cook to help create a safe, welcoming, and homely environment for the people we support on their recovery journey.
This is much more than preparing meals and maintaining cleanliness. You'll play an important role in helping people feel comfortable, valued, and cared for every single day.
What You'll Earn
- £13.45 per hour
- Overtime paid at £14.95 per hour
- 28.5 contracted hours per week
- Consistent two-week rolling rota
Working Pattern
Week 1:
- Monday
- Saturday
- Sunday
Week 2:
- Wednesday
- Thursday
- Friday
Working hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm

The Difference You'll Make
As our Assistant Housekeeper / Cook, you'll help ensure Millcroft remains a place where residents feel comfortable, respected, and at home.
In the Kitchen
- Preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals
- Catering for resident preferences and dietary requirements
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
- Managing food stock and deliveries
- Reducing food waste and promoting sustainability
- Using kitchen equipment safely and effectively
In Housekeeping
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the service
- Supporting infection prevention and control procedures
- Completing housekeeping audits and checks
- Ensuring communal areas remain welcoming and comfortable
Supporting the Team
- Liaising with residents to understand their preferences
- Completing kitchen and housekeeping compliance audits
- Supporting rota planning where required
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering
- Helping maintain a positive and inclusive environment

- Supporting or supervising small teams
