About the role
As an Assistant HR Advisor you will provide a comprehensive and effective HR coordination service across the employee lifecycle, combining high-quality HR administration with first-line support and guidance on noncomplex people matters. The role will work closely with the wider HR and Talent team, taking ownership of routine employee relations caseload and escalating more complex or higher-risk matters as appropriate.
This is a hybrid role and you will be expected to work from our Team Valley office at least once per week, and additionally as required.

Ownership at TSG
Every role at TSG comes with our Ownership Ladder. It sets out what ownership means here — from doing your own task well to owning the outcome end-to-end, following the work through every handoff until it lands, and bringing solutions rather than just problems. We include it in every job description because it applies to every person, whatever the role or level. It's the standard we hire to, work to, and back each other on. When you join us, you'll be operating above the ownership line — seeing it, owning it, solving it, and delivering it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
