Location: Dorset (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits

Travel Requirement:

  • Fortnightly travel to Sheffield, including overnight stays (fully expensed). This is an essential requirement of the role. Please do not apply if you cannot do this bi-weekly.

Are you an ambitious HR professional looking to take the next step into a HR Business Partnering role? Do you enjoy working across diverse employee groups, building relationships with stakeholders, and gaining exposure to both corporate and operational environments?

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Assistant HR Business Partner to join our growing HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor ready to develop their business partnering skills within a complex and fast-paced organisation.

Supporting both corporate functions and warehouse operations, you will work closely with managers across multiple sites, providing practical HR advice, driving people initiatives and helping to improve business performance through effective people management.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Partnering with managers across both corporate and warehouse-based teams.
  • Providing guidance and support on employee relations matters, including absence management, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases.
  • Supporting organisational change and people-related projects.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple locations.
  • Using people data and reporting to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Coaching managers to improve leadership capability and employee engagement.
  • Supporting talent, succession planning and development activities.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver a consistent and high-quality HR service.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.

Assistant HR Business Partner - About you

We're looking for an HR professional who is keen to develop their partnering capability and enjoys working in a dynamic, operational environment.

  • Experience within a HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and employment law.
  • Experience supporting operational, logistics, manufacturing, distribution or warehouse environments would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The ability to build credibility quickly with managers at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Confidence using HR data and management information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD accreditation.
