Assistant HR Shared Services Manager
We are currently seeking an Assistant HR Shared Services Manager on behalf of our client. This will support the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused HR service across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with strong operational HR and people management skills who are looking to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced shared services environment.
Your New Role
Reporting to the HR Shared Services Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of HR administration and first-line HR support services. You will lead and develop a team of HR Administrators and Advisors, driving service excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance across all HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the HR Shared Services function.
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team to deliver high-quality HR support.
- Managing workload allocation and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex HR queries and employee lifecycle activities.
- Supporting recruitment administration, onboarding, contractual changes, and leaver processes.
- Supporting payroll operations.
- Driving process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
- Supporting HR projects, organisational change initiatives, and system enhancements.
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and data protection requirements.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within an HR Shared Services, HR Operations, or HR Administration leadership role.
- Proven experience leading or supervising a team within a busy HR environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate employee data.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience reviewing and improving HR processes.
- Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
