Job Summary

The Assistant HSE Advisor will support the implementation and maintenance of effective Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems across AUREOS INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES LIMITED on behalf of Taylor Woodrow / Aureos JV for Washwood Heath Depot for HS2 project, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and review of HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Support the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assist in the delivery of HSE training and induction programs for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation.
  • Participate in risk assessments and the development of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through effective communication and engagement with all personnel.
  • Support the HSE Manager/Advisor in all aspects of HSE management.
  • Stay updated on relevant HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.

Job Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent recognized HSE qualification is essential.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the infrastructure, construction, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Strong understanding of HSE principles, legislation, and management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Ability to work at various project offices and on site.
