Role Description
The Assistant Interior Designer will support the design team in developing commercial interiors from initial concept through to completion. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with space planning, preparing drawings and presentations, supporting FF&E selection and scheduling, and helping coordinate with contractors and suppliers. The role involves contributing to design documentation, maintaining project files, producing mood boards and material samples, and participating in site visits and surveys. The Assistant Interior Designer will work closely with senior designers to ensure designs meet client requirements, comply with relevant standards, and are delivered on time and within budget.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Taking client briefings and developing design solutions.
- Preparing design proposals via mood boards (digital and tactile).
- Sourcing scheme appropriate FFE and creating FF&E documentation.
- Liaising direct with all project stakeholders – taking ownership of the design package delivery and building a rapport with the client and contractors.
- Producing technical drawings and plans.
- Attending site visits, client meetings and fit out as required.

Our ideal candidate has:
- 1+ years experience in an interior design role (although exceptional graduates with a keen interest in our sector are encouraged to get in touch…)
- A degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to produce and interpret Construction Drawings and design documentation to support project delivery.
- Knowledge of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, specification, and scheduling aligned with project requirements.
- A positive attitude, great energy and willingness to learn and develop.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, colleagues, contractors, and suppliers.
- Full UK driving licence.
