As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an ambitious Assistant Landscape Team Leader to join our team.
About the Role
This is a genuine career development opportunity.
You’ll work alongside our experienced Team Leaders, assisting with the day-to-day management of projects while developing the leadership skills required to become a Team Leader yourself.
You’ll help oversee projects, support the team on site, maintain exceptional standards of workmanship and provide leadership whenever required, including covering holidays and sickness.

This role is ideal for an experienced landscaper who enjoys responsibility and is ready to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Team Leader with the day-to-day running of landscaping projects.
- Lead the team when the Team Leader is unavailable.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Help plan daily workloads and organise labour, materials and equipment.
- Carry out quality checks throughout each project.
- Motivate, support and encourage other members of the team.
- Lead by example through your attitude, workmanship and professionalism.
- Promote excellent Health & Safety standards at all times.
- Help maintain company vehicles, tools and machinery.
- Complete site records and communicate progress with management.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is technically excellent, dependable and ambitious.
Essential
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in hard landscaping.
- Excellent practical knowledge of:
- Porcelain paving
- Natural stone paving
- Block paving
- Timber decking
- Timber structures
- Retaining walls
- Drainage
- Fencing
- Setting out and levels
- Concrete works
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Honest, reliable and trustworthy.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good understanding of site Health & Safety.
- The ambition to develop into a Team Leader.

- Competitive salary of £28,000 – £32,000, depending on experience.
