Recruitment Partner: Joanne Walker

We're recruiting for a Layout Designer to join our Commercial Services team within Trading. In this role, you'll help shape how customers experience our stores by creating layouts that make it easy to navigate, discover products, and access services. Your work will directly support how our ranges and services come to life across our different store formats - from Your Local Boots Pharmacies to flagship Health & Beauty stores.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of Commercial Services within Trading, the Layout Design team works closely with teams across the business to ensure our stores are easy to shop and reflect the right ranges and services in the right places.

The team underpins all activity that impacts the shop floor, bringing together multiple initiatives into one clear plan that can be delivered and implemented by Stores and/or Properties.

In this role, you'll lead the creation of store layouts that support commercial and customer activity. This includes producing layouts using AutoCAD and Blue Yonder to support category initiatives and seasonal changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality AutoCAD and Blue Yonder layouts for all commercial and customer activity, ensuring they are completed on time
  • Make customer-focused and financially informed micro space decisions using appropriate tools
  • Ensure all layouts conform to the agreed brief and layout guidance
  • Maintain quality standards for layout delivery and effective engagement with stakeholders
  • Manage your own time and workload to consistently meet agreed deadlines and quality standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
