At Anglian Water, our values are that together, we will: Build trust, do the right thing, and we are always exploring.

Who We Are?

Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services (IMRDS) is the team that maintains our water supply systems, handles emergencies like water bursts, and develops new ways to better serve our customers. Whether you're passionate about frontline operational work or playing a part in safeguarding one of the world’s finest drinking water systems, IMRDS offers dynamic opportunities for growth, development, and purpose-driven work.

What Will You Be Doing as an Assistant Leakage Technician (SENSOR Maintenance)?

As an Assistant Leakage Technician, you will play an important role in supporting Anglian Water's leakage reduction strategy through the maintenance and operation of our fixed network SENSOR estate.

Working across the region, you will inspect, maintain, test and replace fixed network hydrophones and associated SENSOR equipment, ensuring assets remain operational and continue to provide reliable data to support leakage detection activities.

This is a field-based role where no two days are the same. You'll spend much of your time outdoors, travelling across the region, working on network assets and supporting our ambition to achieve world-leading leakage performance.

You'll receive full training, industry-leading technology, and ongoing support from experienced colleagues to help you succeed and develop your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct SENSOR maintenance activities on fixed network hydrophones and associated equipment
  • Inspect, test, maintain and replace fixed network hydrophones in accordance with approved procedures and water hygiene standards
  • Accurately collect, record and update asset and network information
  • Identify and report faults, defects and maintenance requirements relating to SENSOR assets and escalate findings where appropriate
  • Deliver excellent customer service at every interaction, keeping customers informed where required
  • Work collaboratively with leakage teams, schedulers, analysts, project managers, and customer contact teams
  • Accurately record all work activities, survey findings, and customer interactions using company systems including Oracle and SAP
  • Ensure all job notes, records, and work management information are completed to a high standard
  • Follow safe systems of work and adhere to all water quality, hygiene, and health and safety procedures
  • Support business incidents and operational priorities when required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
