Job Title: Assistant Lettings Manager

Location: Lewisham
Brand: Acorn
Salary: Competitive Salary Package
Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 6pm, Friday 8:30am to 5pm and Saturdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm (day in lieu).
Driving Licence: Please note, that you must have a full UK Driving Licence & access to your own car.

Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for the position of Assistant Lettings Manager will be highly motivated, career-driven and possess a strong understanding of the current rental market, preferably within the Greater London area. This role will support the Lettings Manager in driving branch performance and delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting the Lettings Manager in growing the branch's lettings business and income.
  • Conducting market appraisals and securing instructions on residential rental properties.
  • Registering, qualifying and managing applicants.
  • Arranging and conducting viewings and negotiating offers to secure property lets.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords and tenants.
  • Identifying additional business opportunities and referring clients to the appropriate divisions.
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of customer care.
  • Meeting and exceeding personal and branch targets.
  • Implementing effective canvassing and marketing strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with all current lettings legislation and company procedures.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of available properties and local market conditions.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
  • Deputising for the Lettings Manager in their absence.

Skills required

  • Previous experience within a Senior Lettings Negotiator or Assistant Lettings Manager position, with a proven track record in winning new business.
  • PropertyMark Technical Award in Residential Lettings and Property Management or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valuation and listing experience.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • High level of customer service.
  • Positive attitude and professional telephone manner.
  • Self-motivated with the drive and determination to succeed.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt and respond positively to change.
  • Previous experience supporting, coaching or mentoring colleagues would be advantageous.
