Assistant Lettings Manager – Growth, New Business & Uncapped Earning Potential

Are you an ambitious lettings professional who isn’t afraid to pick up the phone, create opportunities and ask for the business? Complete is growing, and we’re looking for an Assistant Lettings Manager with a strong new-business mindset to help drive the next stage of that growth.

We want someone who doesn’t simply wait for the phone to ring. You’ll be someone who enjoys speaking to people, building relationships, following up opportunities and actively searching for new landlords and new instructions. You’ll be comfortable picking up the phone, having commercial conversations and, importantly, asking for the business.

If you’re motivated by winning instructions, achieving targets and seeing your earnings grow as a result of your own performance, this could be a great next step.

This Role Is About Growth

Alongside delivering a fantastic service to our existing landlords and tenants, a key part of your role will be helping us grow our lettings portfolio.

That means being proactive. You’ll identify opportunities, make calls, follow up leads, speak to prospective landlords, conduct market appraisals and build relationships that turn into new instructions.

We’re looking for someone with the confidence and persistence to hear “not right now” and still follow up, maintain the relationship and create an opportunity for the future.

You won’t be expected to sit back and wait for new business to arrive – we want someone who enjoys going out and finding it.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively searching for and generating new lettings business
  • Picking up the phone and speaking to prospective landlords
  • Following up leads and previous market appraisal opportunities
  • Asking for market appraisals, instructions and referrals
  • Generating and conducting market appraisals
  • Converting opportunities into new instructions
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords
  • Developing effective property marketing
  • Preparing tenancies and associated legal documentation
  • Maintaining high standards of lettings compliance
  • Supporting the wider team and contributing to Complete’s continued growth

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who Are We Looking For?

You could already be an Assistant Lettings Manager, or you may be an exceptional Senior Negotiator who is ready for more responsibility and wants the opportunity to progress.

Experience matters, but attitude and commercial drive are just as important to us.

We want someone who:

  • Is confident picking up the phone and creating conversations
  • Enjoys prospecting and searching for new business
  • Is comfortable asking for the business
  • Is target-driven and motivated by results
  • Has a proven track record of achieving targets
  • Can build strong, long-term relationships with landlords
  • Is persistent and follows opportunities through
  • Wants to develop their career and increase their earning potential
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Is ARLA qualified or can demonstrate sound knowledge of lettings legislation
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
  • Is willing to work across different locations

If the idea of making prospecting calls makes you uncomfortable, this probably isn’t the role for you. But if you enjoy the challenge of turning a conversation into an appraisal, an appraisal into an instruction and an instruction into a long-term client, we want to talk to you.
