The Role

This role represents an exciting opportunity to join the Library’s highly regarded Academic Engagement team at a pivotal time, as the University undertakes a programme of curriculum transformation. Working in partnership with academic colleagues, you will support the development of students’ digital, information and research skills by designing, developing and delivering high-quality teaching activities and learning resources to suit blended methods of delivery. You will also provide one-to-one support to both staff and students, helping them to make effective use of a wide range of information resources and digital tools.

We are looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm and experience of delivering engaging digital, information and research skills teaching to different users. You will have excellent communication skills and good understanding of information resources and tools, including reference management systems, with the ability to adapt to new platforms and technologies.

This role is offered on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE) with the required working pattern of Monday – Thursday from Monday 4th January. Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
