Location: Sunderland, Clanny House (office based)
Duration: Permanent, full time
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Supervise/oversee operations conducted within department to ensure quality and service
- Responsible for overall planning, monitoring, and control of maintenance of the properties
- Perform daily checks within the accommodation and the grounds
- Look after the maintenance of all the fixture and fittings
- Health & Safety paperwork management and ensuring the site remains compliant by testing fire alarms, inspecting emergency lighting, checking security appliances and to log routine safety checks
- Repairs as needed and reported by residents
- Providing excellent guest service by resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Stand in to cover when the Maintenance Manager is on leave

Requirements
- Formal qualifications or time-served experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing trades
- Confident in dealing with general repairs such as fixing leaks, painting, changing locks etc.
- Test fire alarms, inspect emergency lighting, check security appliances, and log routine safety checks
- Effective verbal skills to coordinate with outside vendors and senior management
- Experience in a supervisory role would be beneficial but not essential
