Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, market-leading business to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join their successful finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and adaptable finance professional who is actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification and is looking to develop their career within a large, fast-paced organisation. The role offers a blend of management accounting, financial analysis and business partnering, providing excellent exposure across both finance and operational teams.

Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
- Undertake commercial analysis and support effective balance sheet management.
- Produce, interpret and analyse financial reports, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations to improve business performance.
- Monitor asset and operational trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and performance review packs.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Review operational performance and work alongside management teams to implement improvement plans.
- Act as a key link between operational teams and support functions across the business.
- Analyse KPIs and financial information to drive continuous improvement and performance.
- Support half-year and year-end audit processes.
- Undertake ad hoc reporting, analysis and project work as required.
- Provide support across the wider finance team.

Ideal Experience
- Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification.
- Previous experience within a finance, accounts or assistant management accounting position.
- Strong analytical and commercial awareness.
- Experience preparing financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.
- Experience using ERP systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
