Job Description
We're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to support our Commercial Finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial information.
The role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll support the Commercial Finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial information, ensuring the integrity of the firm's profit and loss account (P&L). The role will be heavily involved in month-end accounting processes, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and providing administrative and analytical support to the Commercial Finance Business Partners.

The role sits within our Finance department, reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, and is based in our Nottingham office.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating and managing the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) certification process, engaging directly with fee earners to obtain valuations and resolving queries to ensure timely completion.
- Preparing and posting month-end journals — including cost corrections, client rebates, practising certificates, and service recharge allocations — as well as calculating monthly prepayments and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
- Generating departmental performance reports and management information packs, supporting Commercial Finance Business Partners with data analysis, and assisting in identifying trends, variances, and key performance indicators.
