Assistant Management Accountant (Hybrid)

Full time, Fleet, United Kingdom
(Tuesdays and Thursdays work from our office/Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays work from home)

The purpose of the Assistant Management Accountant is to support the Commercial Accounting Team by contributing to the event reconciliation process and working alongside the wider Accounting team with monthly reporting requirements.

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will

  • Work alongside the relevant operations teams to review and reconcile project budgets, and raise client invoices as appropriate, in accordance with agreed SLA’s
  • Work closely with the operations team to make sure any project budget changes are fully reflected in pipeline documents and business reporting
  • Work with the Finance Business Partners and provide support to the month-end closing processes
  • Prepare monthly accounts for designated cost centers, including revenue recognition and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide cover for the weekly KPI income reporting process across all lines of business
  • Be proactive and support with any ad hoc projects as determined by either the cost center manager or Finance leadership team

About you

  • AAT part-qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience, with strong accounting knowledge
  • Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience preferred
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage priorities efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident collaborating with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Proactive and commercially minded, with a focus on continuous improvement and business support
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented culture
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and high ethical standards
  • Keeps current with relevant accounting regulations, legislation, and industry best practices
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role is advantageous
