We are looking for a proactive and detail oriented Assistant Management Accountant to support the finance team for a Fixed Term 6 Month contract. This role will assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, support month end processes, help track and analyse revenue streams and have the opportunity to get involved in exciting project work!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the setup of cash flow, forecasting and reporting processes for a new joint venture, helping create clear and effective ways of managing cash.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and support month end close processes.
- Process journals, accruals and prepayments, making sure our financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate any issues and help explain month on month variances.
- Track and report on revenue across a range of income streams, including digital platforms such as YouTube.
- Assist with the audits by preparing schedules, reports and supporting documentation.
- Support the wider finance team with day to day activities, project work and ad hoc analysis as needed.

Who you are
- Experience in a finance or accounting role.
- AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA, or keen to develop your accounting knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Comfortable working with numbers, Excel and financial data.
- Organised, reliable and able to manage deadlines.
- A collaborative team player with a practical, can do approach.
- Experience in media, production, digital content or creative industries is ideal but not essential.
What Success Looks Like
- Month end tasks completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Balance sheet reconciliations completed monthly, with discrepancies identified and resolved promptly.
- Revenue and variance reporting produced accurately and on time.
- Audit, cash flow and ad hoc finance requests delivered accurately within agreed timescales.
