About the Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance team by preparing reports, analysing data and assisting with month-end processes.
Based in Alfreton within the industrial and manufacturing sector, this role helps ensure the smooth financial operation of the business.

This is a office based position in Alfreton.
Description
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports to support decision-making.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide support for audits and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data.
- Help improve financial processes and systems where needed.
Profile
A Successful Assistant Management Accountant Should Have
- Experience in accounting and finance, ideally within industrial or manufacturing.
- Studying towards CIMA or ACCA (latter stage AAT Level 4 studiers are encourage to apply also).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of accounting software and Excel.
- Part-qualified or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000, dependent on the level of experience.
