Description
Overview of the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Management Accountant. In this role, you will work closely with the finance team to support various financial functions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for the parent company.
- Produce the monthly management accounts for a subsidiary entity, including profit and loss, balance sheet and supporting schedules.
- Monthly reconciliations of multi-currency accounts and cash.
- Calculation and communication of sales commissions to staff.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency through automation.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support for decision-making processes.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations for all group companies and resolve any discrepancies or issues as they arise.
- Maintain and update financial records and databases accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Accounts IQ, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Studying towards a professional certification (e.g., ACCA/CIMA) is a plus.
