This would be a great opportunity for someone who is at the early stages of their career in finance and seeking a role that will progress and develop them further. Applicants must have recent experience of working in finance and will ideally be studying an accounting qualification.

Client Details

Our client is a well established, growing and successful manufacturing business based in Wakefield.

Description

You will be working as part of a stable finance team of 6. As part of the role, you will be supporting the Finance Director with the provision of accurate financial information, maintenance of financial controls, and day-to-day accounting activities. Once you have received all the necessary training, you will:

  • Manage the end-to-end purchase ledger, including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, payment runs, and variance investigations.
  • Prepare supplier payment forecasts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with the production of monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare journals, bank reconciliations, and support balance sheet reconciliations and month/year-end processes.
  • Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and business planning through financial analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with stock accounting activities, including stock counts, inventory accuracy, petty cash, and company credit card reconciliations.
  • Provide finance support across the business, including ERP system assistance, query resolution, and cross-functional cover.
  • Contribute to process improvements, maintain confidentiality and compliance standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team.
