Assistant Management Accountant

The Business

We are partnering with a fast-growing global technology business that delivers innovative solutions to clients across multiple regions. As the company continues to scale, it is looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join its dynamic finance team.

The Opportunity

Sitting within the Group Reporting team, you will support the month-end close, maintain accurate financial records and help ensure compliance across multiple international entities.

The role offers excellent exposure to global operations, complex cost structures and modern finance systems. You will also have opportunities to undertake financial analysis, provide commercial insights and work collaboratively with teams across the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Perform monthly P&L analysis, investigating key movements, trends and variances
  • Prepare insightful month-end commentary for the Finance Manager and wider team
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any differences
  • Support ad hoc analysis, reporting and strategic projects

Month-End and Cost Postings

  • Prepare expense accrual and prepayment journals
  • Help maintain the Group’s fixed asset registers
  • Support invoice processing and accurate cost coding
  • Review pending or disputed bills and purchase requests to calculate appropriate accruals
  • Assist with month-end close activities across multiple Group entities

Audit and Tax Compliance

  • Assist with Group audit requests and statutory requirements
  • Prepare VAT workings and returns in line with local regulations
  • Support the preparation of annual corporate tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and documentation standards

Systems and Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency
  • Support the implementation and integration of new finance tools and ERP systems

About You

  • Previous experience within management accounting, assistant accounting or a similar finance role
  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments and month-end processes
  • Experience of multi-entity or international accounting is highly desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as NetSuite, and automation tools would be beneficial
  • Analytical and comfortable turning financial data into meaningful insights
  • Confident communicator able to work with teams across different regions
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-led environment
