About This Role

Are you an Assistant Management Accountant, Management Accountant, or Finance professional looking for your next opportunity? This Assistant Management Accountant role with TCS will give you the chance to support month end, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting within an established temperature control business based in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

You will work closely with the Management Accountant and operational stakeholders, helping turn financial information into useful insight and supporting informed business decisions.

  • Support month end and year end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with variance analysis, financial commentary, stock control and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting, monthly expenditure forecasting, capital expenditure, work in progress and cashflow forecasting.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and help colleagues understand financial information and controls.
  • Support improvements in system usage, process automation and customer service across the team.

About You

You will be analytical, organised and comfortable working with numbers, but just as importantly, you will be someone who can communicate clearly and build trusted relationships. Whether you are part qualified, AAT qualified, or have developed your finance experience through another route, we would like to hear from you if you can bring the right mindset and transferable skills.

  • Experience of management accounting and month end processes, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret financial information.
  • Confidence explaining financial information and controls to colleagues outside of finance.
  • A self-motivated approach, with the curiosity to challenge existing ways of working and suggest improvements.
  • The ability to work flexibly, manage priorities and build positive cross-functional relationships.
