Assistant Management Accountant
Exeter, Devon
£32,000 - £34,000 per annum
Full-time, Permanent (Office-based)
Our client, a successful and growing organisation, is seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join their established finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll support accurate financial reporting, month-end processes, and commercial insight while gaining broad exposure across a successful and forward-thinking organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional to develop their management accounting skills within a varied and supportive environment.

The responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and accounting adjustments
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Support cash flow forecasting, VAT returns, and audit requirements
- Manage multi-currency transactions and related accounting activities
- Maintain accurate royalty, commission, and financial records
- Provide support across the wider finance team and assist with process improvements

The candidate:
- Previous experience within a finance or accounting environment
- Experience supporting management accounts and month-end processes
- Strong Excel skills with confidence using accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical abilities
- Proactive, organised, and keen to develop within a finance career
