Description
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play an important role in delivering accurate financial information that helps the business assess performance, manage resources effectively and make informed commercial decisions. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll help ensure financial data is reliable, meaningful and enables strong financial governance.
This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute to management reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities while helping to maintain the integrity of our financial information. You'll provide valuable insights into financial performance, helping identify trends, risks and opportunities that inform business planning and support continued growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Producing accurate management accounts and financial reports for stakeholders across the business
- Reviewing financial performance and highlighting key variances, trends, risks and opportunities
- Contributing financial information and insight to budgeting and forecasting processes
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and helping maintain robust financial controls
- Ensuring financial information is accurate, complete and aligned with accounting policies and governance requirements
- Investigating financial issues, resolving queries and providing clarity on financial performance and reporting
- Building effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business
- Using ERP systems and reporting tools to produce, interpret and communicate financial information
- Providing financial input for business initiatives and continuous improvement activities

What You’ll Need

- Previous experience in a management accounting, assistant management accounting or wider finance role
- A good understanding of management accounting principles, financial controls and financial performance reporting
- Experience contributing to budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliation activities
- The ability to interpret financial information and identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
- Experience using ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
