The Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Head of Finance across core accounting functions, ensuring robust financial controls and insightful reporting. You’ll take ownership of accounts payable and receivable processes, assist with management accounts, and help implement new financial systems as the company scales.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, working closely with an experienced finance leader.
The role:
- Support the month-end close process, including preparing accruals and prepayments
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in producing management accounts and financial reports
- Help implement a new purchase order (PO) system
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests
What we'd like to see (non-essential):
- 2+ years’ experience in a finance role, ideally in a high-growth or SME environment
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience working with Xero (essential)
- Exposure to management accounts and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial business
- Passion for process improvement and system optimisation

Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000
WFH:
2 days working from home
