The Role
We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our growing Finance team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
You’ll be responsible for overhead and expense analysis, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations, month-end reporting, VAT support and commercial analysis, including gateway fees, chargebacks and 3PL profitability.
We’re looking for someone analytical, detail-focused and commercially minded, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Overheads – Own monthly overhead analysis, challenge overspend and report departmental spend to budget holders.
- Expenses – Manage expenses through Moss, ensuring policy compliance, complete documentation and monthly cost analysis.
- Intercompany – Reconcile all intercompany balances at month-end and resolve discrepancies.
- Gateway Fees & Chargebacks – Analyse monthly fees and chargebacks, ensuring costs align with agreed terms.
- 3PL Carriage Profitability – Monitor carriage profitability, comparing rate-card revenue against actual costs.
- VAT & Statutory Reporting – Support VAT returns and other statutory submissions.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations – Prepare and maintain assigned balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items.
- Month-End & Process Improvement – Support the continuous improvement of month-end processes, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate finance activities.
- Ad-hoc Reporting & Analysis – Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc reporting, analysis and business queries as required.
