We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to provide information and insight to the business that will be used to drive commercial decisions.

As an Assistant Management Accountant for IPRS Health you will produce the management accounts for various business units and overhead departments within IPRS Health as well as smaller Group entities and support the Financial Controller and Finance Manager in preparing and explaining variances. You will business partner with one of our business units SLT to understand business drivers and support them from a financial perspective.

Your success will help drive profitability within the business and assist in understanding the drivers behind this.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Position: Permanent full time - Assistant Management Accountant

Hours: 40 hours per week Mon-Fri

Location: Claydon, Suffolk IP6 0FU / HYBRID

Main Purpose of the Job:

  • To produce the management accounts for various business units and overhead departments within IPRS Health.
  • Supporting in the Financial Controller and Finance Manager and Management Accountant in preparing and explaining variances.
  • Business Partnering with either the MSK or Mental Health senior leadership team to understand business drivers and to support them from a financial perspective.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of management accounts for IPRS Health
  • Balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Variance analysis against budget, prior month and prior year
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
  • Ensure accurate ledger postings, from various sources, with a right first-time attitude.
  • Liaising as required with other areas of the business to support smooth financial processes.
  • To review and monitor processes and suggest ways to improve
  • To work closely with other department leads and managers to ensure IPRS provides the best service to our clients
  • Assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assisting with year-end audit
  • To undertake any other duties compatible with the grading of the post, as required.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, AAT)
  • A minimum of two years Accounting/Finance experience
  • Knowledge of Access Dimensions or similar accounting software
  • Computer literate, with good MS Excel and MS Word ability and a solid understanding of accounting software principles
